Site/Facility Rental Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines

General Information

• Rental includes only those facilities or areas specified by the permit.
• Person(s) securing the reservation are responsible for the use of the site/facility and those attending the event.
• A copy of your permit must always be on-site for review by personnel and police. A digital copy of your permit is acceptable.
• Issuance of permits is at the discretion of The Foundation for Girsh Park.
• Park hours are posted as 7am to sunset. Security Deposit will be forfeited in full if the event continues past sunset.

Responsibilities

• Person(s) securing the permit are responsible for clean-up of the site/facility after use. If the site/facility is in an unrentable condition after your event, your security deposit may be retained.
• Person(s) securing the reservation agrees to assume all costs of damage to Girsh Park and/or contents during the period authorized and as a result of said use of the park and/or contents. Person(s) securing this reservation is responsible for returning the site and/or contents to its original condition after the scheduled use.

Payment and Cancellations

• Rental Payment and security deposit are due at the time of reservation.
• Refunds are not granted due to inclement weather or lack of attendance.
• Cancellations more than 30 days in advance of the event will result in a refund minus a $40 cancellation fee.
• Cancellations less than 30 days in advance will result in rescheduling of the event to a mutually satisfactory date, within one year, with no refund or fees.
• The Foundation for Girsh Park reserves the right to cancel any event and refund fees at any time.
• All party and picnic area reservations are first come, first serve.

Security Deposit Forfeiture

• Security Deposit will be forfeited in full if any member of your party drives a motor vehicle inside the Park without permission and supervision by the Park’s staff.
• Security Deposit will be retained in full if any of the following rules are broken:
  • No open fires are permitted.
  • Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
  • E-Bikes, e-scooters, and e-skateboards are prohibited.
  • Dogs must be on-leash at all times.
  • Amplified music or sound is prohibited.
  • Musical Bands are not permitted.
  • Vehicular access to facilities is controlled by Girsh Park staff.
  • Decorations must not deface or damage the facility and must be completely removed after the event.
  • The use of staples or nails for decorations or table cloths is prohibited.
  • Each party or picnic area has a maximum number of guests allowed. Exceeding the maximum number of guests will result in the retention of the security deposit. If you think you will exceed the maximum number of guests, please contact the Girsh Park Office for additional reservations or permits.

Alcohol Consumption

• Consumption of any alcoholic beverage is illegal under 21 years of age. It is the renter’s responsibility to strictly enforce this age limit.
• Beer and wine are only permitted with a separate Alcohol Permit (see details on booking page). No hard alcohol or liquor is allowed.

Bounce House Policy

• Luna's Jumps is the exclusive and only permitted jumper and bounce house vendor for Girsh Park. Please inquire with them directly for your jumper/bounce house rental at (805) 705-9448
• Additionally, a jumper/bounce house is only permitted with a separate Jumper permit (see details on booking page).
