About Harriett Phillips

Harriet was a member of the Girsh Park Board of Directors for over a decade. She brought together the Goleta Valley Land Trust and The Foundation for Girsh Park in 2001 to create more park land in Goleta. The Land Trust donated over $600,000 to Girsh Park’s Fields Forever Campaign to purchase the western half of Girsh Park now named Elings Fields.

To honor Harriet’s contributions to the Goleta Community, the Girsh Park Board of Directors named the field connected to our family picnic areas, ‘Harriet Phillips Meadow’.
