Sports Programs

Youth Baseball

Elings Fields at Girsh Park is the home of several youth baseball programs. Dos Pueblos Little League was the first to call Girsh Park home in 1999, but has played on on this block since 1974. Since then several new baseball programs have sprouted up, and we now offer year round baseball programs and leagues for youngsters to enjoy. There are programs for all ability and age groups including the Challengers Baseball Program focused on serving special needs children. We also offer several programs run by Jacob Pepper the president of Full Count Fundamentals Baseball Instruction including: Goodland Baseball Tournaments, Diamond Performance Training, and the G-Land Developmental Baseball Club Program. Youth Soccer

Youth soccer is the most popular sport in the Goleta/Santa Barbara area, and Girsh Park is one of the most heavily used facilities. Santa Barbara AYSO uses every inch of Elings Fields at Girsh Park for their 10 and under divisions. Every Saturday during the fall, thousands flock to Girsh Park to watch their children compete. In early June each year AYSO runs the Santa Barbara Splash Soccer Tournament where teams from all over California come to compete against each other. AYSO also offers the VIP Division for children with special needs. Santa Barbara Soccer Club uses Girsh Park heavily for tournaments and after-school training. There are also several youth soccer camps and clinics that take place at Girsh Park throughout the year. Click on the links below to find out more information about each program.

Youth Volleyball

Girsh Park is the home of the local division of the United States Youth Volleyball League. Their mission is to provide every child between the ages of 7 and 15 a chance to learn and play volleyball in a fun, safe, supervised environment. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage children to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each child. The league usually plays in the Harriett Phillips Meadow on Tuesdays after school as well as Saturdays. Click on the link to find out more information about this great program.

Adult Soccer

The weekends come alive on the Girsh-Hochman Field, the best soccer field in town. Santa Barbara Women’s Soccer League plays their games on Saturdays and Central Coast Soccer League generally plays on Sundays at Girsh Park.

Join a team and compete in these great leagues. Both leagues have different age/ability level leagues, and teams are always looking for new players to join. You can find schedules and scores on each of their sites.
